Grace and Truth {February 26}

What if by focusing on the things I felt were lacking in the relationship, I had somehow destroyed everything that was good and beautiful in it?
— Sarah Koontz

What kind of love do we all want?  Unconditional love, the kind of love that God has shown to us, that's what we want.

Even though I know I don't live up to God's standard, in how I love others, I've held it against people when they don't meet that same standard in the way love me.  I know this is wrong.  I want to change.

Loving, the way God loves us, and seeing people the way he sees them, is possible only when we rely on the strength that God provides.

To the Daughter Who Has Failed to Love Her Mother Well, by Sarah Koontz, is this week's featured post for Grace and Truth.  It's a powerful story- honest, relatable, and full of hope.  It points to Jesus.  I hope you'll go visit Sarah and be blessed by her words.
